I got married in September 2018 and had the dressed and veil cleaned and preserved shortly after the wedding. I thought I would keep it forever, but it's such a beautiful dress I'd hate to see if just sit in a box. The dress and veil are currently in the preservation box so you won't have to worry about stains coming up before your wedding. The dress is in excellent condition. I had no stains or spills on it the night of the wedding, just the hem that got dirty from walking around (which was cleaned as part of the preservation process).
